Ulisses

In Máscara III the mask dissolves into its own making: a raw ground overtaken from above by a lattice of branching lines, like roots or cracks descending, with a beaded spine holding the centre. Ulisses works oil on card until it reads as hide, bark or parchment — material with a past. Of his masks in the sale, this is the most spectral.
