Languana

Guardião das duas sombras — Guardian of the Two Shadows — draws two figures so close their contours share a line, while grey washes cast the "shadows" of the title around them. Languana's brush-drawing carries the whole work: quick, certain, unrevised. Closing the trio of his works in the sale, it is the most enigmatic of the three.
