About the artist
Bela Rocha
Bela Rocha (b. 1958) held her first solo exhibition in 1984 and developed her distinctive silk-painting technique in Brazil, later supported by a Fundação Oriente grant. She has exhibited in Maputo and Portugal — including Expo'98, Lisbon — and in Moçambi-Cá (UCCLA, Lisbon, 2023).
